About Us
Hugo Lovage Patisserie is run by Michelin-trained pastry chef Cindy Kosmala.
She has worked with renowned chefs such as Philip Howard, Gordon Ramsey, Matt Abe and Clare Smyth and also at Soho House, Chez Bruce and Restaurant Gordon Ramsey.
Hand-making all cakes and patisserie at Hugo Lovage we specialise in selling baked cheesecake, bavarois, eclairs, cookies, Battenburg and Cindy’s speciality – meringue towers.
Originally from South Africa now settled in the Cotswolds, for Cindy baking and cakes are about family and this really is a family business. Cindy & Hubert have three young children, Niko, Hugo and Elliott, they love the cookies!
Hubert Kosmala is a private chef with twenty years’ experience working in some of the best restaurants in the UK, including riverside restaurant Pissarro in Chiswick and Bishopgate’s Balls Brothers.
Originally from Poland, since moving to the Cotswolds Hubert has been Head Chef at the Burford Garden Company and latterly The Swan at Swinbrook. His passion for food can be seen by his skill at transforming white plates into food canvasses, using the very best produce as inspiration.
In 2024 Hubert made the decision to continue supporting Cindy at the Patisserie by creating a range of ‘Takeaway Suppers’ and Private Dining Offerings, and is looking forward to the challenges life as a private chef will bring.
